Skills For Success Features |
| Skills
For Success has been designed to be fun and engaging for every child
regardless of ability. Not only does it encourage learning across
the key subjects but it has also been proven to increase comprehension
as the only way to score is to read and answer questions correctly.
The questions are not timed out, permitting children to read through
the questions and answers carefully, or even discussing them with
friends or sourcing answers elsewhere, before attempting to score.
Questions can be answered in as much time as is needed, reducing
the chance of an incorrect answer being chosen due to a child feeling
unnecessarily pressured. The overall feel is one of a game that gives
confidence and encourages concentration, but is also extremely fun
and exciting. |

| Many
teachers were looking for software that didn’t have the typical
“educational software” program feel and wanted a unique
and more involving theme. So, with this in mind, when you turn on
Skills for Success you start at the entrance to the football stadium,
enter the changing rooms and design your own kit,
giving boys and girls the feeling of being involved immediately. The
game is structured in such a way that it gives children a feeling
of excitement, involvement and wanting to answer more questions as
they progress through the game. To reiterate, the games develop
on a progressive level with the main threads running throughout the
software being INVOLVEMENT, ENCOURAGEMENT and EXCITEMENT. |

| As
a child answers more questions correctly, bonus games are unlocked
both in the Manager’s Office and the Changing Room. ‘Keepy
Uppy’, a fun and exciting reward which also tests the
child’s hand-to-eye coordination skills, by keeping a football
bouncing in the air with the mouse. ‘Pairs’
is a memory game with cards placed face down on the table, testing
the child’s ability to memorise pictures and positions. ‘Darts’
is a fun mental maths game, ‘Wordsearch’ covers
spelling and ‘Brick Ball’ covers angles
and co-ordination: all of these are highly educational, but offer
strong rewards and, also freely available in the Manager’s Office,
is a selection of printable colouring pictures. These were added as
a great way for teachers in classrooms (or other public areas where
the software might be used) to provide “offline” entertainment
and interest for children waiting to use the software. |

Kit Editor and Logo Designer |
The
Kit Editor allows children to really feel part of their own team.
This feature of our software lets you
design your own football team, to truly customise the experience.
By having a male and female model this
not only gives each child the chance to represent themselves but shows
children that this is a sport for both
genders and that everyone has the opportunity to learn. Choose from
hundreds of different combinations
and colours — select a style to match the school’s own
colours. |

 |
Logo
Designer lets you create and draw your team emblem. Randomly pick
from over a hundred
pre-designed logos, or import your own emblem from a picture file.
Schools can import their school crest
for use in the software. |
